W sumie to to są dwa teksty - jeden opisujący z grubsza świat i takie tam, a drugi to rozmowa z ludźmi pracującymi przy grze o ich ulubionej rasie...

Lionheart
We ask the developers at Reflexive and Black Isle to acquaint us with their favorites among the game's four races.
January 02, 2003 - During the period between 1188 and 1192, King Richard of England, know to his vassals as Lionheart, embarked on a holy mission against the infidels, the Third Crusade. Toward the end of this time, he believed his position had become strong enough to demand tribute, but the opposing leader, Saladin, refused to pay. One of Richard's advisors then suggested gathering several relics and performing a divine ritual to bless his forces and curse the enemy. However, bringing them together tore open the fabric of reality. The forces of magic surged through along with spiritkind, demons and other unnatural beings. Setting aside their differences, the two leaders fought their way to the portal and sealed it. Nonetheless, the few hours it was open, a time now known as the Disjunction, allowed the arrival of powers that changed history forever.
Reflexive Entertainment's Lionheart is an intriguing single- and multiplayer RPG that makes use of a version of the SPECIAL character development system; originally created for Fallout, it is adapted to encompass real-time action as well as magic and its practitioners. The game takes place in the alternate reality that is Europe some four centuries after the Disjunction. The world is in turmoil. Galileo has been imprisoned by the Inquisition for his heretical use of magic. King Phillip II of Spain has been assassinated, straining that country's historically unfriendly relations with England, and the Spanish Armada is preparing to set sail with an invasion force aboard. To help us learn more about this precarious environment and the title in general, we've enlisted team members at both the developer and publisher Black Isle Studios to tell us which of the races they personally favor.

Jonric: Which race in Lionheart is your personal favorite and what are the main factors that contribute to this choice?
Chris Parker
Producer, Black Isle Studios
I like Demokin - which is weird. With most RPGs, I usually enjoy playing the vanilla human character, but not with Lionheart. I think that since I know my character has a spirit in them, I just want to take it all the way. I've never been one to play the brutish character, so feralkin are out, and I'm just not a big magic-using fan, so sylvants are out. Demokin are fast and agile, which I favor over strength, and of course, there's a whole sort of wicked thing with them that I think is cool.
Doug Avery
Associate Producer, Black Isle Studios
My favorite race in the game is the Feralkin. I really enjoy playing them due to the dialogue options that they get. Many of the citizens of Nueva Barcelona are tolerant of the tainted races, but not all of them. The ones that are afraid of them tend to let you know in no uncertain terms. The Feralkin also have very interesting racial traits. My personal favorite thing to do is make a stealthy Feralkin and really break the mold. This character is still tough enough to take it on the chin if he has to, but with some shrewd skill choices, you can skirt numerous troublesome spots in the game.

Maybe I'm being boring vanilla, but humans are still my favorite race. It's not that the other three races don't have cool stuff to them. We did a bunch of work giving them unique racial traits that really set them apart from humanity and, in some cases, change basic game dynamics. It's just that untainted humans have a complete blank slate to start off the game with... nobody hates you! Well... at least not because you're human.
Lars Brubaker
Co-Producer and Programmer, Reflexive Entertainment
I don't know why really but I have always found myself drawn to playing a human. I think it just boils down to the fact that in some way, I am always trying to project myself into the character that I am playing. I want it to be me. Now clearly, I am never going to be the heroic fighter that I end up with at the end of the game, but somehow, I like to imagine that there is some way that I could become him.
If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything.
